Hi guys! So, how would you style a Mermaid outfit, what do you know about this creature? While creating this look, I really went into thinking about mermaids, their lifestyle and the way they look. A mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Their tale is shown as sparkling and glittery in movies and cartoons. They normally have tiny waists and very long hair to-die-for.
First story about mermaid appeared in ancient Assyria where goddess Atargadis transformed herself into a mermaid out of shame for accidentally killing her human lover. Often mermaids associated with a storm. In other nations they are associated with kindness and love.
For my today’s mermaid outfit I’ve decided to wear my pleated midi skirt by Topshop. Thanks to its shimmering texture, this skirt reminds of the fish tail. I couldn’t resist, but chosen to wear my favourite gold shoes by ASOS. I bought them a very long time ago on ASOS sale, when they were priced £7. I still can’t believe my luck. To define my waist, I went for a sequin thin scarf by accessories. This time I’ve styled it as a belt. Just tight any scarf on your waist and you will look more elegant. Always remember, that it will underline your personal style, when you use your fashion items in unusual way. Be creative!
My today’s mermaid has a leopard printed top. But who said that mermaid can’t go for a top she likes, even if it has an animal print? 🙂 As often, today I wore my favourite jewellery set by Frey Wille. These are my favourite accessories out of all the ones I have, can’t help myself!
My today’s make-up is nude/light melon. For today’s hairstyle I’ve chosen to wear my Locahair extensions.
Today I’m wearing:
River Island Leopard print silk top | Topshop pleated midi skirt | Asos high heeled gold shoes | Sequin thin scarf styled as a belt | Reserved gold clutch | Frey Wille jewellery | Locahair extensions
